Dynamic volumes for life and play

Designed for a growing family, this project includes both a primary home and laneway home. The project has many unique features, our favourite being the developed attic designed specifically as a refuge for the kids where they can play freely. Another unique feature is the three-storey vaulted space that cuts through the entire house, creating a clear division of rooms and allowing natural light to penetrate into the center of the house via large skylights. The double gabled form makes this tall house feel modest and comfortable within the historic streetscape of Hillhurst.
